NEWS RELEASE: Write Research Company Appoints Malcolm Carr

Write Research Company has appointed Malcolm Carr to lead its energy and industrial practice. The strategic talent acquisition company was acquired by Capita Plc in 2013 and has since made a number of strategic hires.

Carr joins from Carbon60 where he held the role of Operations Director for the managed services division specialising in the aviation, defence, government and engineering sectors. He has worked in the recruitment sector since 1998 and previously held agency and in-house recruitment roles at Hays and Matchtech.

Commenting on the appointment of Malcolm Carr, Managing Director of Write Research Company Alison Ettridge said:

“I am thrilled that Malcolm has come on board. He has much to offer Write Research in terms of client relationship development and his background means he brings a completely new perspective. Having worked in traditional recruitment for many years, he has a genuine interest in finding a better way to help clients understand and attract the people they need.”

Carr’s remit with Write Research will be to expand the business portfolio both in the UK and internationally. Carr commented on his new role:

“I am driven to help organisations move away from standard web or database searches provided by recruitment firms, and Write Research has clearly demonstrated that there is a better way to help organisations identify top talent.”

He added:

“Under Alison’s leadership and with the backing of Capita Plc, I think we are uniquely positioned to help clients break the costly cycle of reactive recruiting, and to transform their talent acquisition strategies. I am delighted to have joined Write Research.”
