Role: Mapping of Shared Financial Services Centres. Talent Banking
of Best of Breed
Cost: £17,600 + VAT for 32 days research

Following a talent review within Financial Shared Services of the Client’s Sales & Marketing organisation in Europe, there were concerns that should a senior member of the team leave the Shared Service Centre,
there was little the organization could do to quickly fill the gap. Our remit was to conduct a market mapping exercise into seven Shared Financial Services Centres. In parallel to this, to identify, reference and telephone
interview a number of ‘best of breed’ individuals to talent bank, particularly in the area of financial accounting. It was decided the research would be focussed at a senior level to identify individuals with the appropriate level
of commercial experience, remit and compensation within the target

organisations.


During the research we were able to determine:
• Organisational structure
• The most talented individuals and their motivating factors
• Information on pay and benefits
• Perception of our Client in the external marketplace 17

 


Client: FTSE 100 Multi-national
Role: Mapping of Competitor Advertising Sales and Marketing
Departments
Cost: £13,750 + VAT for 25 days research

We were initially requested by our client to map out the complete Advertising Sales and Marketing Departments within a key competitor. Our remit was to identify the names, titles and reporting lines of all relevant individuals so a comparison could be made with the client’s own organizational structure. The Client was also keen to have the opportunity to make independent contact with certain individuals to discuss specific vacancies. We agreed to provide weekly updates regarding our progress and after the second such Interim Report we were asked to extend our research to map two levels of direct reports down from the Chief Executive Officer across all functional areas. Upon completion of the assignment, we were asked to conduct a similar assignment in two other competitor organisations.


Key benefits to the Client included:
• A full picture of the organisational structure of its key competitor.
• A complete listing of all individuals within the targeted departments, including job titles and reporting lines.
• The client was able to compare/contrast its own structure with that of its competitor.
• The client was subsequently free to independently contact as many individuals as they desired to discuss career opportunities
– we do not charge placement fees so subsequent appointments
made brought no additional cost.
